Safety & Responsibility: Pets & Pouches

Your pet's safety is our top priority. Please read this information carefully.

Understanding the Risks

Many STATERA products contain ingredients like Caffeine and Nicotine. While beneficial for humans in controlled doses, these substances are highly toxic to pets, including dogs and cats.

The small size and sweet flavorings of pouches and strips can make them attractive to curious animals. Ingestion can lead to serious health complications, including increased heart rate, agitation, seizures, and in severe cases, can be fatal.

Always store your products in a secure location that is completely out of reach of pets and children.

Emergency Action Plan

If you suspect your pet has ingested any pouch or strip, time is critical. Follow these steps immediately:

  1. Immediately contact your veterinarian or an emergency animal hospital. Do not wait for symptoms to appear.
  2. Have the product packaging on hand to provide the veterinarian with information about the ingredients and dosage.
  3. Follow your veterinarian's instructions precisely. Do not induce vomiting unless specifically instructed to do so by a professional.
  4. The ASPCA Animal Poison Control Center is also available 24/7 at (888) 426-4435 (a consultation fee may apply).
